ONE LIFE, TWO WHEELS, MILLIONS OF PEOPLE, STORIES AND MEMORIES

(Motor)Bike

The (Motor)Bike project was launched in 2015 and has continuously evolved, transforming from a simple YouTube channel into a national phenomenon. Its central goal is to promote motorcycling and safety on two wheels.

Romania stands out for its beauty, but unfortunately, it also ranks among the countries with the highest level of danger in terms of traffic on public roads. My objective has always been to learn together how to become more responsible drivers and motorcyclists, ensuring that we always return home safely.

The (Motor)Bike community has expanded to over 1.5 million members on various social platforms, and the content posted reaches regularly and monthly over 10 million users.

THE ROAD

THE MOST POPULAR BRANCH OF MOTORCYCLING

As a motorcyclist, it’s challenging to stay away from adrenaline, to stay away from the freedom you feel when you’re on two wheels. So, it’s no surprise that many motorcycle enthusiasts prefer public roads. Unfortunately, these places are also the stage for numerous accidents. It is our duty to know our motorcycle, to test it in safe conditions, and to understand how it and our reflexes will complement each other in case of an emergency. If an apple a day keeps the doctor away, 30 minutes of practice in a training ground will keep an entire hospital away.

Regarding travels on public roads, over time, I have accumulated over 300,000 kilometers on motorcycles of various categories. I’ve had the opportunity to test, explore, and ride over 700 motorcycles from all groups, gaining a profound understanding of the advantages and disadvantages of each category.

Whether it’s paved roads, gravel, forest paths, or even slippery trails, as long as you’re prepared for these situations, you can handle challenges without too many issues. Often, the correct approach to obstacles matters more than the type of motorcycle you’re riding.

Every adventure and journey that tested my knowledge brought more information and transformed me into a more experienced motorcyclist. I am fortunate to have had numerous such experiences, many of which are already posted on my YouTube channel.

RACING

FROM SPECTATOR TO PILOT

The year 2020 brought the opportunity to test several motorcycles on the circuit as part of a promotional campaign. In just three days of testing, I learned the track, the motorcycle, and showcased a potential that led to a collaboration offer. What did this mean? Participation in the Romanian National Championship organized at MotorPark Adâncata.

The first race marked the first victory, and the joys became sweeter. The second stage, the first in the opposite direction, brought an impressive personal record of 1:45.5 and another victory ahead of over 30 pilots with years of experience. The next competition meant the debut in the National Motorcycle Speed Championship and the East European BMU Championship, with a new personal record on the normal MotorPark Romania track, 1:46.6, and 4 gold cups, two in each championship, bringing Romania to the top step of the podium.

The season ended with surprising results for a debutant: MotoRC Rookies 1000 Champion (4/5 victories, one 2nd place, and the Rookie of the Year title), National Champion in the F1000 Class (4/4 victories), and East European Vice-Champion in the F1000 class (2 victories).

The following years brought opportunities that I hadn’t even dreamed of in 2015. I had the chance to train and compete on various circuits outside the country (Mugello, Misano, Plevna), alongside pilots such as Jorge Lorenzo, Loris Capirossi, Troy Bayliss, Michele Pirro, Mattia Casadei, Uario Marchetti, Chaz Davies, Massimo Rivola, and many others.

OFF-ROAD

UNIQUE DESTINATIONS

Enduro is like winning the lottery unexpectedly. It gives you the chance to reach any hilltop, any valley, without being limited to analyzing a map. Enduro operates on the principle: “I know a shortcut.” And most of the time, it leaves you with the most beautiful memories. These are the moments that chase away any filter of maturity and leave room for what could be described in colloquial terms as “laughter fits.” Certainly, we are talking about a different riding style, with challenges and natural barriers, but one that challenges you to shift your perspective to a mindset that brings solutions. Risky? Three definite “yeses.” Thrilling? Like nothing else.

In the past, I only flirted with this piece of motorcycling, and it was hard for me to forget the feelings I experienced. I started to miss the landscapes, the places where I could go as in childhood stories. So, I said the only word that could be attributed to such a decision: YOLO. A new enduro was purchased, and the Enduro Vlog series got a sprinkle of fairy dust.

TRAVELS

BE AN EXPLORER. BE AN ADVENTURER.

Long roads are what make motorcycling and the passion for it come alive. You truly live when you’re on two wheels with tens of kilometers stretching out in front of you. It’s just you and your passion or with your fellow road companions.

I managed to fulfill my dream of touring Romania on two wheels, checking off on the map the most beautiful places in our country, many of them still unknown for many people. With the desire to promote these wonderful locations, I started a series called TripVlog. The series is not just with and about motorcyclists, it’s about all of us, about our country and everything it has to offer.

And the country’s borders are not a limit. I’ve traveled through unique places in ways that are hard to imagine, places I never even thought possible and in Portugal, I made it to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of Europe, in an adventure that started in the jungle and ended on the edge of a cliff on the Atlantic coast, with drops of over 200 meters into the abyss.

I didn’t forget the Alps either, where I rode what are perhaps the most beautiful roads in Europe, including Grossglockner Pass, Passo del Tonale, and of course, I couldn’t skip Stelvio Pass. I also explored the Dolomites Mountains, climbing to over 2700 meters and even seeing war trenches over 100 years old.

But perhaps the most intense experience so far has been the 14 days spent in India, in the Himalayas, where I reached the highest roads in the world, at altitudes over 5500 meters. After nights spent in tents, extremely spicy food, and no potable water, I reached the top of the world. The views never ceased to amaze, even though the motorcycles were barely running, and the headaches caused by the lack of oxygen had already become a daily routine.
