A suggestion for a short motorcycle tour on asphalt that you can do on a weekend day or even a day after work (especially if you live nearby), on some of the most beautiful roads between Ploiești and Lip:
Route
“Trans-Cislău” is one of the newest roads added to our website, paved at the end of 2021 and which presents itself in optimal conditions for riding a motorcycle, especially in the area of interest of approximately 12 km of turns between Buda Crăciuneşti and Cislău
The Măgura-Hales section passing by the Ciolanu Monastery and the sculpture camp in the area is a classic road, I could say for bikers from Buzău, offering about 15km of turns through the forest on a fairly good road, but a little care must be taken for because usually spring there is a lot of sand here. Care must also be taken in areas of intersection with forest roads that you will find with dry mud most likely if you come here after a period of rain. In addition, the area is very popular on weekends for lovers of nature and especially barbecues, so you have to be careful.
Hales-Sărătă-Monteoru is again a very curvy road segment and suitable for a motorcycle ride, but here you have to reduce the pace a bit because the road is narrower and very often there is vegetation that penetrates the carriageway making the road even more narrow. In addition, there are certain places where there are narrows to a single lane, and therefore I recommend that you do not force it, but just enjoy the ride, leaving room for safety in case of an unfortunate situation after a curve. Another reason why you don’t have to force it is the fact that the road is preferred by cycling enthusiasts in the area, on weekends I meet quite a few here.
P.S. A picturesque segment on the “wine road”, coming from Mizil via Tohani towards Lapos, can also be integrated into this, but now (May 2023), the road section between Jugureni and Lapos is being rehabilitated, the entire roadway being rotten, even existing there are places where there is no asphalt at all… This piece of road is worth remembering and integrated later, after re-asphalting.
